Timeless design for a feel-good bathroom

The optimized formula of HygieneGlaze contains a new combination of metal ions and other active substances, which is particularly effective in blocking bacteria growth like E. coli, for example. Baked into the ceramics and extending from the interior to the rim of the toilet or urinal, HygieneGlaze is effective in the areas particularly susceptible to the accumulation of bacteria and germs. Compared with ceramics with conventional surface glazes, HygieneGlaze inhibits 99.9 percent of bacteria growth within 24 hours. The effectiveness of the HygieneGlaze antibacterial properties has been scientifically proven by hygienic and microbiological tests performed by the Institute for Hygiene and Public Health at the University of Bonn: the special glaze kills bacteria and germs.

The new bathroom series Qatego designed for the world-renowned brand Duravit focuses on clear, reduced elements exuding naturalness. The reduced design language is intended as an antipole to the hectic pace of daily life – inspired by water and natural materials with tactile surfaces such as wood, ceramic and natural stone.

The characteristic elements of the Qatego series sink are a large inner basin paired with softly designed edges. In addition, the combination of rectangular, clear shapes and a minimalist edge also form a great recognition value as well as maximum comfort in the bathroom.

Was basinis also available as a built-in washbasin that sharply follows the design language in its domed sides. The washbasin forms a harmonious unit with its mataching console vanity.

However, the highlight of the series is certainly the countertop washbasin, which can optionally be combined with a vanity unit. The stone console of the Qatego series extends the possibilities for individual adaptation of the bathroom. The shape of the console with its rounded edges perfectly follows the ceramic. The high-quality Italian natural stone offers a special eye-catcher and is particularly easy to clean and sensitive due to its surface treatment.
